As a new uncle and by request I am putting more pictures of my lovely niece to share with you guys.

I have been quite busy these days. One being work is picking up and another is me being addicted to Cry Wolf Game. Basically if you play the game Mafia. The rules are the same. 7-15 players enter one of the rooms that are in play. They choose out one of the characters from the movie and the game randomly assigns you as the “sheep/townies” who are the normal players and the “wolfs” who are the ones who sole goal is to eliminate the rest of the players. The sheep goal is to oust the “wolfs” from the game or be eliminated themselves. There are 1 wolf for the 7 player game but 3 for the 15 player ones. There is also a “shepard” whose goals is to drop hints here or there an to cause deception to all the players. The shepard might be telling the truth or lie to get you onto track or steer you off. Very addictive game.

And slight update on Shannon. He has a wicked sense of humor and makes me smile A LOT. A very good quality and I have been slowly letting down my gaurd with him. Our conversation has always been engaging and insightful. : )

These days are full of days that seems to meshed together. With me being an impending uncle sometime this week, I kind of have place all plans on hold so I can get my parents to where my sister is having the baby. Anticipation is the main operative word for me today. I am looking forward to being an uncle and seeing my future niece or nephew. The journey there is not without conflicts and arguements but in the end, we all came to an understanding and not wanting the baby to feel the ill effects of his/her conception, decided to just look forward to the future and go from there. I know my sister will be a wonderful (but moody!) mother.

On the other end. I look forward to my chats with Shannon. He definatley can bring out different aspects of me that not many people can see, one of them being the introspective side. He challenges my mind with his wit and his intelligence. His charm is definately appealing to me. He also has a way of putting a smile in my face. He definately solidify my plans to take a trip to Toronto next year. He definately has a lot of my dear friend Rob’s personality in there, which makes talking tot Shannon so effortlessly. Each day I am learning something about him and there will be many more elements of Shannon I will to uncovered.

Lately a lot of girls have been venting to me about the man who did them wrong, the ones who don’t know what they want, the ones who is self-centered or just being a total a$$hole. When any of those things happen to them. I am usually the first guy that they will talk to and vent. Not that I mind at all but lately with the increase my time dedicating to helping my friends find solace has increased. To the straight men: get your act together!!! You know how much us gay men are through with your stupidity. Talk to a gay man to find out how the woman’s mind work. Maybe you will pick up a few things or two. : P

We had a huge outage at work. Nobody can get on any of the servers right now. Small solace? Internet is still up. This might be the biggest crashes I experienced working anywhere. I think all 19 offices are down for the past 2 hours. Poor us. We all sitting around doing nothing.

So S aka Shannon and I finally talked on the phone tonight. After constant talking on MSN and various emails bouncing back and force. Shannon and I decided to take it to the next level and that is to talk on the phone. We spent a few mintues talking on MSN beforehand and to my suprise he discovered my blog. *Waves hand to him* I wasn’t shocked or anything negative but I did actually blushed because as you know the previous couple of entries did mention quite a bit about him. Well he did tell me the feeling is very mutual and the crescendo of our chats finally came to this point where he called me. To hear his voice finally which by the way sounds very suiting of him: One that exudes confidence, a bit of playfulness and sexiness. He and I found talking to each other relatively easy. I also found out he been using MSN frequently due to me and that definately made me smile. We look definately forward to more chats in the future albeit cutting this conversation short due to the 3 hour time differnce and besides he had an interview for the next day. So I didn’t want to keep him awake.

On the work end: Work is going very smoothly, relatively low training on my end and I am picking things up pretty quickly. Getting along with my new coworkers really well. YES!!!

Raven, Mona, Steve and I had a very nice gathering of sushi courtesy of Hiromi’s treat to recap of the trip she had with her ex-date. I would not trade shoes in her place for what a straight drama queen can be. (I still have doubts about him if he is really straight or not, I really do.) She got us some fabulous gifts and the gift for moi? A lovely shirt from my favorite store and there was a funny story to it. Apparently the ex-date worn the shirt and it look horrible on him so Hiromi knew that it will look great on me and IT DID. I gotten none stop compliment on how lovely the shirt was. Girl you got good taste!!!

Today I also had a mini reunion with another friend of my friend in SF, Christine, (not you Christine in the East Coast). She had some friends from out of town and I took them a bit around in my neighborhood. I swear everytime we see each other we act a old married couple. I always look forward to spending time with her.

Finally S and I talk for a bit online again. He is definately a cool guy I am knowing better. But I am being realistic about feelings and the present truth. I’m here and he’s in another country. Life has taught me to be realistic of all situation and putting things into preceptive.

These last couple of days I have the pleasure of talking to someone in Toronto about life and the paths we each taken to get to our present point. Oh it does help that he is cute and very smart as well. We both spent a good amount of time learning about each other and discussing life philosophies. We both share the love of fighting the greater evils of the world. It is quite nice to spend hours of time talking with him.

One theme that we love discussing is philosophy and our own interpertations on life and existence. We have discuss many varying theme and both of us with different points and views but the basic foundation is there. I actually enjoy talking to him and we both have since made a point to talk a bit more from now on. Gosh I realize I am quite geeky at times. Intelligence does really makes a guy more attractive for me. ahaha. But then S is quite cute in the first place. *grins*

Well going to get my weekend started.

Well here I am alive and well. I am recovered from my blogathon event and I had such a blast. Today I have moved down 18 floors and sitting in my new area. A lot brighter and a lot more mellow down here. I almost miss the fast past-ness of the litigation floor. Almost…. *winks*. Today is a slow day for my new department so I am taking it easy right now. Best part of department? DUAL SCREEN MONITORS. It is so Ultra Cool. : ) Maybe I need to do that at home. I said maybe. Well off to do some more reading!

And the results of my dsl has finally stabilize. I tell you I am going to kill my dsl company tomorrow. Putting me through all this agonoy and mental anguishes. But I have since taken off my shoes and my stress level have reduce. It is quite funny actually. I was about to jet when the great dsl gods decide to take pity on my soul and let me have my way. We’re still up and alive out here! 2/3 of the way through - that’s 8 hours to go.

Recently I reconnected with an elementary school friend of mine. She was such an artist back then, so talented. We linked up again via Myspace, and it seems she has only further pursued her artistic talents. She’s working as a photographer in Texas. We only corresponded once or twice, and that has been all. But she’s been the only one so far I’ve been able to find. Everyone else who went to our elementary school seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. :/ So bizarre.

Unfortunately, Chris has been having DSL problems for the last hour. So as not to be disqualified, he’s asked me to take over for a short period of time - at least until his problems are resolved. We’ll keep you updated on that.

I’m personally very excited about the charity that Chris is blogging for. I grew up in San Francisco, and every weekend my family would go out to Chinatown. So the work that the organization does hits fairly close to home.

Canada’s Charter of Rights and America’s Bill of Rights….Which one cover more and produced more freedoms.

CANADA.

Reading their Charter of Rights against our Bill of Rights. It covers and respect so much more of indivual rights and freedoms. They are more in tune with their own citizens in my opinion. Compare for yourself.

One main point of civil rights and equality is to understand the roots of prejudice and hatred that comes from it due to misunderstanding and misgiving. There are two major points in American History where civil rights were taken away because of fear of the unknown. The Chinese Exclusion Act and Executive Order No. 9066 which started the internment of the Japanese Americans. The links will take you guys to the order itself as well as some additional information about these two points in American History.

Chinatown CDC has a youth compenent which helps build youth leadership as well as learning the history of Chinatown and San Francisco. This was a group I helped build up when I was the youth president a while back. This group help build up many youth leadership through leading people through Chinatown’s alleyways as a tour guide or act as leaders to our clean up and projects that comes up. This project has been in existence for over ten years and I am proud to say I am part of it. This project is call Adopt-An-Alleyway. Go check them out.

I am entering my impulsively cleaniness stage of my 24 hour Blogathon. When I run out of things to do I start cleaning. My mother loves me when I enter this stage because I turn into an lean mean cleaning machine. But don’t think I am a domestic diva. I could be but choose not to. hehe BUT I do wish I could go running today.

One of the many role models I have is for Dalip Saund who was the first Indian American Congressman in the US in 1956. The time for an Indian holding office was unheard of but yet he presevere and took on a challenge to serve his constituents. He succeeded in serving 3 terms. He died in April 22, 1973.

Too much distraction online and at home. I have a lot of the hustle and bustle of a noisy neighborhood as well as some rather vocal neighbors. In the turn of the century when San Francisco Chinatown was starting to boom and started businesses and making home for themselves. Most of the non-Chinese people were afraid that they were becoming too successful and taking all the jobs aways from the “white folks”. So lawmakers started enacting laws to prevent the growth and the success for Chinese people living in America. One such laws entailing that they were not allow to own land or business, were imposed with “special” fines and taxes and only be allowed to live and work in the confines of Chinatown at one time even a curfew was in effect. Imagine today that you have to live like that to have your rights that limited. What do you think you will do if your rights were taken away?

My dear friend Darcy and I are catching up on YM right now. She came out to support me with Blogathon. I am truly touch to have freinds like her in my life. Even though we havent met yet. Yuri Kochiyama is a woman I have immense respect for. Even though she is small in stature, she has an immense knowledge of the past and what our precedessors have done so we as Asian Americans of this century can enjoy and live. Yuri Kochiyama have been a Japanese encampment internee and have done much to advocate for equal rights everywhere. I hope when she does passes on that she knows that she left us a legacy and knowledge of her past to us and that future generation will see her a great role model for Asian Americans everywhere.

The International Hotel was one of the catalyst for Asian American civil rights movement. The I Hotel as it was fondly remember was housing old Filipino and Chinese residents like live in what use to be Manilatown which was sandwiched between Chinatown and the Financial District in San Francisco. The owners at the time wanted to evicted these low income residents from there home to build a new office building. When news got out. The Asian American community came together as well as other groups to fight the eviction of these people and through civil disobience tried to stop deputies to evict them. But on Aug 4, 1977, deputies broke through and evicted them. Even though the old hotel and many of the residents has past on. Some of them live to see and lived in the new I hotel that open just a few days ago with the help of Chinatown CDC.

Chinatown Community Development Center is one of the places I volunteered for once in a while and I have been with them for over 10 years. They are a group that advocates for tenants, civil and seniors’ rights as well. Even though this group originally cater to Chinatown, they have expanded their role since then. They are a wonderful group with dedicated staff who work tirelessly against hypocrisy and injustice and I am proud to be blogging for them.

Civil rights to me has varying meanings. I look to north to Canada to see how progressive Canadian policies and what they have done for its citizen so everyone can have the same rights as anyone else. But then you see my own country where rights are continually gettign limited by the conservatives because fear of the unknown and not wanting to accept the changing of society and then you see other countries praticularly 3rd world countries where their rights are even limited than what the US has here. Sometime we forget that our previous generations work so hard to fight for the benefits we have now and when it is gone, we miss it. We need to do more so everyone can enjoy these basics rights.

Okay you lovely people and readers. What is Blogathon?

Blogathon is like a workathon, danceathon or a walkathon. Except you blog for charity. The goal is to stay up for 24 hour blogging on various items of your choosing. I stay up for 24 hours with a posting every half hour. Once I have completed doing it. There will be an email sent to you to direct you to the place to put in your donation. Simple as that and no money comes my way. You guys directly write the check out the my charity or paypal it out to my organizaiton. Make sure to put “Blogathon 2005″ on it on the comments section. Any amount willl be great apperiated! If you want to know more about the organization, please go to Chinatown CDC website. and yes it is tax deductible.

This weekend was an accomplishment and firsts for me.

Our First Marathon: Both Hiromi and I have completed our very first marathon together. Hiromi and I started this training together many months ago when I was a newbie in running. She has given me that push to be a better person and taking myself to another level. Yesterday was the end result. Both of us finish the San Francisco Marathon together. Hiromi and I did well for the first ten miles and then her knee started giving away. She was so close and there were times I felt that she was going to give up on me, but I refuse to let her quit after all the hard work she put into training and achieving that goal. I was so emotionally drained but I willed her to give her that final push to the finish line. After endearing 5 hills, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and back and the 5AM start time, what was our final time?

Me - 2 hours, 4 minutes, 28 seconds ranking 1209 out of 3800+

Hiromi - 2 hours, 4 minutes, 43 seconds ranking 1244 out of 3800+

I was one of the few sprinters to the finish line. I just wanted to get it done and over with and greet Hiromi at the finish line. We broke down big time, this emotional drain of excitement and tiredness was overwhelming but we accomplished our goal and succeeded and this is our FIRST time seeing each other cry. Hiromi knew I could have done it faster but I made a promise and a pact that we would finish this together and we did.

John found us later smiling our heads off and we went to have a celebratory breakfast but it was definately a mixed feeling moment in me. Before the race Hiromi and I had a heart to heart chat about where her relationship with John was going. I didn’t like the fact that John wasn’t giving 100% in this relationship and still have feelings for a girl on the other side of the Pacific Ocean. I refused to let Hiromi get hurt and I did kind of give the hint to John that I was not happy with the situation right now. Hiromi is ONE FANTASTIC GIRL and I refused to let a guy take her down a notch for a stupid reason. But I did tell John, either he needed to get closure or stop leading Hiromi on.

Then we said our goodbyes and I heading home to take a quick shower so my coworker and I can spend the rest of the day together at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. One thing I learned about my coworker who was driving: He was a SPEED DEMON. We were constantly over 100 miles an hour and even top off at 120 miles per hour with is my FIRST time going that fast ever. He is one of those people who would tailgate if you aren’t following highway rule. I was a bit scare but we made in record time to my other coworker’s house and picking her up. We then proceeded to the Boardwalk where we went on almost all the rides multiple times and winning 2 prizes with giving one away to my coworker, my FIRST time being to achieve that ever. She was so happy with the fish I won her. We even spent a bit of time on the beach to suntan and relax and that was the FIRST time my coworkers seen each other half naked and with a bit of coaxing, went into the ocean past my kneea for a bit for the FIRST time ever which was a big deal for me since I don’t swim, it was that scary but made it a point to learn to start swimming soon. We then had dinner together at a Thai restraunant and proceeded to drive home where my poor coworker got his FIRST speeding ticket with us in his car. That really kill the mood for the rest of the night. But it was a wonderful time bonding and knowing each other better before that incident happened. Thank you J and S for a good time!

So there you go for my multiple firsts. Today will just be a day of relaxing for me.
