Hello all:

I know I been missing for a while but it for a good reason. My cousin just got married and going to make this interesting for you guys. Rather than to show you all the photo here. Go click on this link over here and click “view pics” , then “view slideshow” and follow the pics that I took yesterday. Note there is a lot more, but there is a huge section left out due to me not knowing the other side of the family and wanting to ensure their privacy. Starting from top row, left to right:

Photo 1: The fog was absolutely gorgeous today, the lower region got the fog while the higher up was slear, if you noticed, you can see the pockets of clear areas and made me think of Shangri-La.

Photo 2: Family pic with the bride. The groom hasn’t arrive yet. Typically to Chinese wedding customs, you must bartered and bribe your way into the house. The bridemaids were ready to take him on.

Photo 3: Another very typical Asian thing. The cute furry animals couple on the wedding car. In this case a pair of pigs.

Photo 4: This pic is where the bridemaid are bartering and issuing the challenges.

Photo 5: This one is one of the challenges that he must hula hoop for one minute….he failed….then he had to do it for ten seconds….he fail again. We felt pity and let him go on that challenge.

Photo 6: This is the second challenge where he has to professed his love by saying I love you……and write it out…….using a pen grip between his teeth. Yes they are evil.

Photo 7: The 3rd challenge is where he had to eat something sweet, something sour, something bitter and something spicy. The sweet I forgot. But something sour was lemon juice, something bitter is the bitter melon he is eating and the spicy of the thai chili pepper which is VERY HOT.

Photo 8: This is the one wherethe groomsmen must drink a HUGE cup of Pepsi to find the key that will unlock the door to where the bride is…..what you don’t know is the after that. Chaos ensued where my dad opened the lock door to let the groom in….. so this is where…..

Photo 25: This drunk dude was one of many people on their side of the family who was HORRIBLE at karaoke. I mean it wasn’t OK, it wasn’t FAIR and it wasn’t BAD. It was so bad to the point at the end of the night with all the alcohol that was drunk. That cats outside screeching about two octaves higher with the nails going across the blackboard was more tolerable than their singing. The second part is throughout the night, they kept on annoucing how much was donated to the family association that night. Which I thought was pretty lame because it was the bride’s and groom’s night and not the family association. *roll eyes.* I swear all of us felt that we were in dentention and even that was even better than what we suffer through. Lesson of the day?: NEVER MIXED ALCOHOL WITH KARAOKE!!! My ears is still ringing. bleh.

But this is for our cousin and we love her dearly.

First off thanks to all the people who made my 26th birthday weekend. (I still having trouble saying the number 26 in my age yet. ) All the ecards and cards really made me smile. Especially the excuses for those who miss it.

This is the group who made it to my dinner that night at Juban’s Yakuniku restaraunt. I had a very diverse group of friends and family going that night, ranging from my lil bro and his boyfriend. To my ex coworker and another new friend. The fun was full of sake and Sapporo beer and cooking for each other. Technically, the guys cook a lot more for the ladies than vice versa. But with different groups in aspect of my life meshing together for my birthday is something I hold very dear to me.

We all were grilling all different types of meat and seafood. Ranging for the very delicious of Filet Mignon to the pork kalbi with to scallops and prawns. Unlike the Corean and Chinese verison of grilling. This one doesn’t stink up our clothes. Most of us came out smelling pretty normal. Thank goodness.

This is James, Elaine and Jenny. James and Elaine I have known since 6th grade and Jenny from my college days. All of them very dear to me.

My exworker from last year Michelle and I. She is so dear to me. The Southern Belle of Kentucky. She looking great as ever.

This is the lovely Hiromi who I had a blast enjoying the following Sunday with. She was feeling a little bit blue and I took it upon myself to cheer her up. Nothing beats cheering a lady up with new food and drinks like Nasi Lemak (the national dish of Malaysia) and white lotus seed mooncakes and a brand new Sapphire and diamond pendent necklace that she got from my aunt’s jewelery store. It was also quite funny that we both zone in on the very same pendent at same time. She was totally estatic at the discount she got from my aunt. I am glad that I got to spend the day with her. There will be more time to hang out in the future with her. She is also a good shopping buddy with me too as well. She help me choose out my new red dress shirt and silver tie for this Saturday wedding outfit.

The above two picture is my little brother and his boyfriend. As most of you can see, we don’t look that much alike and his boyfriend is a great guy. Almost like a brother in law already. Almost together for 3 years now. Very happy that these two can make it too.

Finally there Andrew and I. One more thing I learned about him. He can’t take a joke.

Okay I haven’t been blogging because I been pretty active these days. Meeting quite a lot of new people these days and it been full of fun activities.

Just because I am being lazy. Mona has posted the rest of the pics and play by play of the RBJ meetup that we had on Tuesday. I had a blast with all the people there. But at the current moment, I am filling out major application form for yet another recruiter right now I am meeting with tomorrow.

So my gay Chinese buddies have been reunited. We all have not seen each other in a long time since one of the members had a huge fight with his boyfriend and jetted to LA for 2 and a half months to calm down. He is basically the glue of the group. If he isn’t around, the whole group fell. I think everyone pretty much realize this because all of us are heading on very seperate paths in our lives. But we were all was quite happy just talking and doing our favorite activity…..mah jong!!!

I managed to get a few hour away to spend yet another person birthday. My good friend C. She was a close ex coworker of mines and I introduced her to my niche of friends and now she has another circle of friends. We all get along so well and she makes a fine addition to our group. We went to a Cuban restaurant call Habana , I been there before with Mona and Raven so I know the food is good there.

This is appetizers that we had. Top left is Tuna Ceviche, The middle is the duck empanadas and the top right is shrimp cocktails.

The dessert is quite good as well. The left is a guava cheesecake, the middle is chocolate mousse and the right is a Pina Colada which consist of pineapples, coconut ice cream and some other stuff. Quite delicious.

Today marks the 3rd year anniversary of Akuma’s Inner Turmoils. On Sept 12th 2001, the blog on Akuma’s Inner Turmoil v. 1 was born to mark my first thoughts logged in public’s view in response of what happen on 9-11. Today the blog (which God knows what I was thinking back then.) has evolved to what you see today. Gosh I used to remember how many blogs were out there. Not that many, now it seems everyone is doing it. It is always nice to read back of what you wrote back then and see how much has change. But all in all, there has been more up than downs and the infinate wisdom that I have learned has help me understand the world a bit better. I still read a lot of the same 15 blogs that I started out with. People like GG, LK, Darcy, Cyn and Scott has kept me writing. I use to write for the public and look forward to every comment I get with each post, now I just write for me and my soul. For I always want to keep on writing for my tangible memories on this webpage and I know that a few years down the line, I will come back and remininsced about it.

You know me and birthday, I not going to tell you guys until after the fact. I just like to keep it like that.

What have I learn about myself?

Chris’ Wisdom That Was Learned in Year 25

I can be single and not be a Ho or a Slut. Not my style. I sowed my seeds when I was younger and I am actually very happy being single. Sex is great and I have a high sex drive but I just dont feel like having f - buddies will be a good thing for me. I rather be take my time and go with the flow.

Clubbing till 6am has lost it allure. It getting too old and I been doing it since I was 21.

Knowing you did the best at the job doesn’t mean you won’t get laid off sooner or later. Hey that life works.

Postive family relationships can affect everyone. I noticed that my household is smiling and laughing a lot more now.

What comes up, must come down sooner or later.

Always stand your firm ground on what you believe in but know when you’re wrong and accept it with grace.

Know when to back down from a fight, but don’t let yourself be pushed around.

There is always going to be people out there who just going to hate you. No matter what you do. Haters feed on your negativity.

One more year is another year of wisdom under your belt.

Set higher goals for yourself.

Your closest friends will always be there for you. You should always be there for them.

Need to start to save money. Lots of money.

This is Andrew. No he’s not my boyfriend because he’s already has one. *drats in my case.*

Andrew is one year older than me, also Malaysian Chinese, speak Cantonese, Mandarin, another dialect of Chinese that my parents speak, Malaysian and English. Same outlook on life, same silly sense of humor and we’re almost the same height. Even with our philosophy on life is prety much on the same level. We can finish each other sentences. I’m so glad to have him in my life. I haven’t really able to smile much these days, but he can definately put a smile on my face. He also the first guy who actually knows the REAL me, our conversation ran really deep about our past and who we really were. Scary thing is that we were able to revealed the real Chris and Andrew in such a relatively short amount of time, the real us that few of us wanted to share or reveal. Not even my straight best friends know the stuff I told him. It has never happen where I had bore most of my soul to someone like this. His boyfriend found it was incredibly funny that he was excited meeting a new friend as well. Weird how life works and operate.

The Chinese have a word for this type of situation that we both agreed that most likely applied to us: We call it “Yuen Fun” and the closest word of it is “kismet”.

Okay I officially broke my own phone record with this guy. Now he is someone who I like to call my otooto (little brother, you see. For I can see a lot of this guy in me and he’s only 19. The new record for longest amount I been on the phone ever? 2 HOURS 33 MINS and 45 SECONDS. He found me through Fridae.com but he has written to me before when I was still on my blogger website 2 years ago.

But we have since gotten to know each other better and he is one of the few very rare people who I been able to stand talking on the phone for more than 20 mins. Everytime we talk, it’s been for more than a hour and it doesn’t really end before we have so much to talk about. LOL. Sometimes life is too funny. I can’t even talk to my best friends for that long. I usually get perturbed after 15 mins. But I am glad that I can do that with someone.

So introducing Ryan to you guys. Gay guys and straight girls, stop drooling and put away that tongue. So I offer a few guy eye candy for you guys. Would you believe I have no romantic interest in him? He’s my otooto, it be like totally incestcous don’t you think?
