Lil Sis
I dubbed these 3 the 3 musketeers . They been together since sixth grade. My sister (in the purple) is looking absolutely lovely for her senior prom. In 2 weeks, my sister is walking the stage. She slowly turning into an adult and I can’t believe that the little sister that I held in my hands on October 26th, 1986 will be a young woman soon. She has a good head on her shoulder and a family who loves her to death. I won’t be treating her as a little sister who I have to fend off but a young lady who has her own thoughts and ambition in life. The last one of us to turn into an adult. Another new chapter to add to my life.
I am very proud of my sister and I love her to bits.
That is all I can say about her.
For the love in my eyes is enough.

Sibling Rivalies
Today I woke up with my dad bad mouthing an uncle whom we do have not a good relationship with. I can’t but to wonder sometimes with this is the relationship that my brother and I will enroute to heading to. I wish we can get along with all of our cousin but distance and different ideologies in life has push us apart. Family is important to all of us but yet with our uncles and aunts, they cannot follow through on what we were instill when we were on. There is a huge divide with animosity agianst each other. In my family, we are in good terms with only two sets of family and the funny part of that group is that family is very much united together. We have a very clear understanding of how important family is and what is important to us, each other and all the cousins are completely bilingual. The other cousins I have that we are not close with is very much Americanized and only speak English. There the divide is only the crack in a great canyon. How to mend it? I don’t know. None of us have really put an effort to mend fences. The cousins that we are close with are really content to being associated with our family and vice versa. What to do? But I am going to make the resolve to improve our relationship with my brother from now on. One of us must offer the olive branch and I am going to do just that. I don’t want what happen to my father and uncle to happen to us.
Family is too important to me.

Go with the Flow
I am pretty worn out as of lates, we have our summer associates coming to work for the summer, these associates are the ones who will make up their mines if they will be working our firm permanently in the next year are two and these guys are the creme de la creme of the law firm out there. Also our boss is coming in a few weeks. All of us is looking forward to seeing her again. She was the rock our group and lately morale among all of us isn’t the same without the coworkers that are gone. The dynamics of the firm is very evident. But we just go with the bump and grind of earning an extra dollar to plan out my goals in the future. I won’t be able to take off any vacation time because I am accumalating it for next year Asia trip. My coffee buddy is in the South Pacific, my other paralegal is in Fuji and the rest of us is stuck here. Bah. LOL
Dating end, my heart feels like it not communicating very well with my head. I won’t delve into it much. But doctor guy, everytime he texts me with a little note, like today. My heart warms up tenfolds. It got that nice fuzzy feelings that only he can bring but where does that really leave me??? I am trying so hard to fight those feelings for a guy I havent met….or would never meet in my life. A guy that I can’t have?? Why does that rationale not listen to my heart. Maybe love is blind….but I can’t call it love….I can’t even call it lust. What does these feelings won’t go away? I do feel weak and sometimes insecure about the “possible” outcome of Doctor guy. But that is , I am going to stand alone and hope and wish.
That is what I want.
I hope I get it.

Solitude
I know I haven’t been around to blog as of lates. There is so many events going on with my life these past few weeks that it is hard to sit down and write. I haven’t been on the internet much as well due to the fact that our firm did some MAJOR crackdown on internet usuage, leaving the majority reading newspapers and books half the time, but not me, I have not left on time once in the past 3 weeks because my schedule is so packed. I also have been taking care of activities like my sister’s senior prom and catching up on some old friends (as well as new friends.) and celebrating their birthdays. I find myself not missing the online world that much anymore. I guess I am adapting to not checking out the forums that I frequent or reading the news all that often lik e I use to do. Maybe it is just a phase. But it is hard to sit down and write these days when all I lately is drafting letters and pleadings at work all day and my brains turn to mush by the time I get home. Hey that is life. LOL. Yesterday I had the whole day to myself and what did I do??? Just relax and turn off my phone and listen to TV and room clean. And today I feel absolutely refresh and invigiorated to get back into the coporate world and tackle a new day. Funny how one little day to yourself can recharged you back to almost normal. I am glad about that.

Parents Are the Most Cutest Things
I had to laugh at my parents this mornings. I woke up with my parents yelling each other over the smallest thing this morning: Who going shopping for groceries, but the funny part of it and the cutest part of it is when my parents revert back to baby talk and whiny little 7 year old children to get their points. Part of the dialogue includes “If you don’t go buy it I going to leave you” , “Who going to want you? You’re so old and grumpy that I am the only one who can put up with you.” “Ha~! at least I married you!” I had to get up and act the responible adult that I am and chided them to not act children and to toned it down. That got me looks from both parents and I smile and scurried away after grabbing my cup of coffee.

Reality v. Dreamer
R in LA sent me this card today. R is someone who is the type guy who I always dream about having someday. Smart, sexy and successful. Everytime he emails me when he does that…..makes me smile. He took the time to write me the card and to have something tangible as a card from him makes it even more special. My feeling for him are very strong…here I am hours later still smiling and cherishing the thought and care that went into this card.
This is a guy who I dream of having, the type of guy I want to spend the rest of my life with. But then you get snapped back into the harsh realities of the real world.
But I am a realist, living in reality… I have to live in the real world and can’t wait for a guy who I will eventually meet someday. I done that many time before and maybe I am slightly jaded and cynical but over this past weekend threw a wild card for me, I met a sweet guy over the weekend and we seem click and I am going to give him a chance see where this guy will go. I won’t say too much about the guy who I met this pass weekend just yet but the card got me thinking about the two roads that has laid in the path before me at this moment. The dreamer’s world or the realist’s world. A year ago, I was still would choose the dreamer’s world and hope and wait for my Prince Charming like R to show up and live the life of happily ever after but that was then, I have to live in the real world. But somehow I feel R will play an important part of my life. I just don’t know in what aspect. But I still a dreamer in me. I just learn to face life with what I have now.
Don’t you love the unknown with all the mystery and allure of it???
I will write more about the weekend once I have more time.

This is taken at work and our firm new elevator bay which in this case is very Zen looking with these white walls and wood floors so I thought I goof off and take this picture today at work. One Year
Today is my one year at the firm. Unofficially as my official date is July 1st, the date I actually went from being a temp worker to being permanent. But today is still important to me because it is my temp agency who sent me there for work today. The assistant law librarian and I have a special bond because we both came in on the same day and have always look out for each other. Now one year later I am busier than ever, hopefully something stable and chugging along. Morale is slightly lower among the staff and secretary but all of us are working together to make sure that are in good spirits. Things were very different a year ago but nevertheless it is changes.
But on the lighter note. How many attorneys does it take the change the water bottle at the water cooler??? Answer NONE you have them stand around and discuss how to put it in while the legal assistant (me) take charge and show them how to put it in!!!
All the staff that was there started bust out laughing because these are our attorney who are brilliant in court but yet coming to change a simple water bottle in the cooler they couldn’t figure it out. We were shock and flabergasted that they didn’t know how. puahhhahaa.

I'm Alive
Wow. I had such a pack weekend. I celebrate three birthday this pass weekend. Trying to split my time between all the people I care about was hard. But I did it. I even had to strip in my friend’s car because the dress code of the clubs I was going to were totally different. I went from wearing dress shirt, slack and dress shoes in one club to wearing a hoodie sweatshirt, trackpants and tennis shoes 6 blocks over. LOL My freinds took a lot of photos so I am waiting
I haven’t been online much due to two things. My work is really cracking down on internet usage and people are grumpier than usual and the second thing is that I have a demanding attroney but I respect this attorney a lot. It just hard when you are being pull in so many directions and trying to please everyone. Stress is an everyday issue for me now. Got to get use to that.
Speaking of work. We just put in a new security system. They needed our fingerprints and personal ID on top of our card key and our regular key. What’s next? Our retinal scan and dna imprint just to make sure it us?!?!?!?
