New Year Weekend - 2006

Well I am back from my self imposed hiatus. I just had to get away from blogging for a while. Just didn’t have the energy to write much these days. Life has been good and I am happy. I am most likely going to move this blog to another site because the SPAM (I’m going to be cussing. FUCKING SPAMMERS GO TO HELL AND DIE!!) in the comments is getting to me. I think I either going to start from scartch once again or move it. Sometimes this month.

Well this blog will be mostly pics. Since it does help describes the weekend I had. All pics courtesy to Hiromi. She totally rocks for bringing her camera!

This is probably the biggest club I been to. 5 stories high. But as you can see in the aerial view. It was a spectacular view from above. Enormous balloon drop and just a gorgeous surrounding. The countdown begins.

My friends. Starting of course with Hiromi. We had a wonderful time together. Even the taxis were on our side. It says good thing about our Karma!

My buddy Rob and his boyfriend Eric on down here. It is our first new year together. They make such a cute couple!

And then the rest of my friends. These are my buddies who I hang out with. They are bunch of great people.

Halloween Weekend

This year Halloween is probably been my best one to date. Maybe because I had such great company this year. Hiromi and I hit two clubs this year and boy she is surely can party it up with the gay guys. My good gay friends had a blast with her and welcome her the group! I went as a Asian mercenary on Saturday and a recon assassin on Sunday while she was a gansta girl on Saturday and a good nun on Sunday. All I can say is that I adore her and her company and I know she will be going out with me to the big events this time around! Well since she wrote out what we did in her blog, I defer to her.

The current pics you see right now is from the dinner of my buddy Di, that pic is of me, Hiromi and Jen. We had a great steak dinner and went clubbing right after.

Well going to train with my buddies for my NEXT upcoming half marathon. I am determine to beat my new time now. Wish me luck!

Race Results - Nike Women's Marathon

Today 6 of us that I am close with did the Nike Women’s Marathon today.

The weather was great and cool and it was surely a estrogen based event. 12542 people show up to this event, 920 being men. So just about 7% of us men showed up to this event. Yes, we got the guts to do a women majority event. But it was so much fun just doing a great race with so many great people in it.

It is fun and does me immensely proud to see all my friends completing the marathon in a great time, considering that this is their first half marathon. I was in disbelief that they all was done before 3 hours. It told me a lot about them, once they put their mind to it, they can achieved it. Now all of us have the finishers T-shirts and a Tiffany necklace (which I am going to give it to my sister.) to remember this event. Some of the girls are indicating that they will like to continue and hopefully we can all do the Bay to Breakers next year. After all that, I took some of the girls to brunch at an Irish places and I got to sit in a nice jacuzzi and relax the pain away.

PS. Such a bad friend to forgotten to mention my dearest friend HIROMI in this, now i feel so bad. She was my biggest cheerleader and saw me break down at the finish line with tears in my eyes. Only close friends like that seen me break down like that.

Smiling These Days

Funny how an active life and someone like Shannon can always put a smile on your face. He makes me grin and be the silly self I can be but yet he can be very insightful in the matters of life and of the heart. I am just glad he is there and who knows what the futures can bring to us.

Another things that is making me smile is that I feel that my goals and directions are falling into place. I am healthy, happier and stronger these days. Even to the point where a friend call me yesterday and tried to help him resolved a credit card fraud, an ex who broke his heart and help him clear the mind. His freind J is a bit older than me but has no focus on what he wants to do with his life. Funny how we are the same way but our thinking and maturity level are different. Life can be harsh and tough at time but if you put things into preceptive and not let the negativity get to you, you can overcome anything if you put your mind to it.

Well going to laid low for this weekend.

Party Animals

Compare to last week at my birthday dinner, this weekend was even more fun! Last week I wanted to have a nice tame birthday dinner with friends and this weekend I was there with my other friends to hang out.

It is so fun to finally be able to take a take out a girl who can keep up with me at the clubs. I had another wonderfun night with Hiromi again as usual. We hit up to TWO clubs again and with some persuasion with my frineds. I went out to the after party. I met and saw many new firends as well as found an old friend from way back. I met people from Australia and England. Funny how that turn out seeing all those people coming out for this weekend. I am still debating if I should go out tonight and have more fun, since tomorrow is my day off. But Hiromi, thank youf or a wonderful time. LOL It is definately fun to get us single people out to have fun!

Beginning of the Late 20's

Today I entered another stage in my life. Today I am 27, offically enter the last third of my second decade on earth. Funny how a few year times can change a person’s perceptive in life. I am very thankful for all that has happen to me in the last couple of years. I made mistake and made missteps along this route of life but I feel much more stronger, focus, determine and happy than the previous couple of years. I learn to accept myself of faults I have in me but to also learn to take in criticism to be a better person, to become more humble about my surroundings and upbringings, to be more open and accepting of people who I call my friends and most of all to cherish my friends and family. I am very blessed to have so many wonderful people that I know online and in person, each of them holds a special place in my heart. I have a wonderful job with great coworkers who I get along with. I am also talking to a great guy in Toronto who always amazes me in his wit, humour and his preception in life. Distance is definately holding us back to something more realistic but all I can do is smile and enjoy each moment when we were able to touch base with each other. My family and I have our relationship improve for the better, I found my inner peace these days. I am happy. Life is definately good.

Today I am going to have 18-20 of my friends and family who will be able to come out to celebrate it with me. I can’t wait for tonight.
Next week another 8-10 will celebrate it with me by going out clubbing.

I am very lucky to have such a stellar group of friends who want to celebrate this day with me.

I know it a bit reflective and mushy but that is how I am feeling right now.

Race Results

I just ran yet another race and was very happy with the results. I ran the 9-11 10K race today and finish with a time of 47 mins. Which turns to be a 7 min 33 second pace!!! This is my fastest pace ever and glad to have survived with such a good time!!! Life must be treating me really well and I hope I can improve in the weeks come, I have two more races left and I want to end the year really strong.

Well going to sleep and I have to get up early for orientation tomorrow.

I'm Hired

After 8 and a half months of temping in this law firm. After one year and 2 months since I have gotten laid off from my last law firm. I just got my offer letter to work for one of the most prestigious law firms in the world. I can’t believe my luck and my perservance. My wish for a permanent position has come true. I am also going to do my dream positon where I am going to be using all the Asian languages that I learn to support these offices. Plus I am going to have some insane hours. 3pm to midnight or so. But the upside is I get to go back to school during the day!!! I am so HAPPPY. Best early bday present I can get!
